About Riverside charitable corporation

Riverside Charitable Corporation ("RCC") is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation. Founded in 1988, and for the past 35 years, RCC has been guided by compassionate people committed to providing those who are unable to afford the necessities of life with exemplary, social-service-enriched affordable housing.

RCC’s mission is to help those who cannot afford the necessities of life, reduce the burden of government, and help the less fortunate of our communities by developing and operating social and educational service enriched affordable housing for people of low-income. This mission includes community development and the creation of affordable housing that helps build resilient communities.

A prerequisite to creating safe housing for families in need of assistance is caring individuals and organizations willing to work together with the common goals of creating affordable housing and ensuring the availability of indispensable social programs that enable people to empower themselves, establish self-sufficiency, strengthen their families and help their neighborhoods to be safe, productive communities.

RCC’s housing portfolio includes family, homeless, senior and special needs. Some properties provide mixed housing as well, for a more diversified and unique experience. As it stands, RCC has over 19,284 units in over 152 properties nationwide.

  • RCC approaches the affordable housing crisis by implementing strategies such as: providing supportive social and educational resources, advocating for more affordable housing and policies, preserving existing affordable housing, and developing new & improved affordable housing.

As an affordable housing and community partner, we feel pledged to address real-world issues and understand their significance when developing affordable housing. We strive to break down all barriers & challenges when aiding low-income individuals and families. That begins by having a culturally and ethnically diverse team. Currently, RCC’s team is made of 70% women.

    Our Vision: We envision for everyone to have access to safe, affordable housing and the resources necessary to achieve lifelong emotional, financial and housing stability, without the restrictions of race, gender, sexuality or class.

    Who We Serve: Our communities serve an array of low-income people, including families, seniors and individuals with mental, developmental and physical disabilities. RCC also offers housing and services to the unhoused.
